Manually update to 2.4.1

This update was released on the 31st of May.

Changelog

  1. Fixed password page (after 2.4.0)
  2. Added rich text for newsletters, in order to be able link to policy page

How to apply the password page fix

Important! Do this step only if you have the password page broken and are updating from 2.4.0
  1. Go to the theme editor (read this article for more info)
  2. Choose /assets/css_naked.scss.liquid and completely replace the file with the contents of the following file: https://pastebin.com/raw/ksRkkhzU
  3. Choose /templates/password.liquid and look after this line of code (at line 26):

    {% include 'head_fonts' %}

    Remove it!

  4. Save all files!

How to add links to your privacy policy page

If you are having a newsletter form on your site, you should probably add links to your privacy policy page in these places, regarding GDPR compliance. 

Adding text in footer newsletter block

  1. Go to the theme editor.
  2. Choose /sections/newsletter.liquid and look for the these three lines:

    {% unless section.settings.subtitle == blank %}
       <p class="subtitle">{{ section.settings.subtitle | escape }}</p>
    {% endunless %}
    
  3. Replace these lines entirely with the following:

    <p class="subtitle rte">Stay up to date with our latest offers! <br>Read our <a href="http://yoursite.com/privacy-policy">privacy policy</a>.</p>
  4. Replace the link http://yoursite.com/privacy-policy with a link to your own privacy policy page.
  5. Save the file!

Adding text in the password page

  1. Go to the theme editor.
  2. Choose /sections/password-sharing.liquid and right at the top of the file, before anything else, add the following paragraph:

    <div class="rte" style="width: 50%; margin: auto; min-width: 300px; color: #999; margin-bottom: 50px;">
      <p>Be the first to know when we launch.</p>
      <p>Read our <a href="http://yoursite.com/privacy-policy">>privacy policy</a>.</p>
    </div>
  3. Replace the link http://yoursite.com/privacy-policy with a link to your own privacy policy page.
  4. Save the file!
