Shopify

1. Checkout page changes/issues

The checkout page and the entire checkout proces is 100% from Shopify and not coded in the theme. Please see this link from Shopify documentation for more info about the included basic styles settings that are universal across all themes: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/checkout-settings/customize-checkout-configurations/checkout-style.

Shopify Plus plan users have more flexibility editing the checkout page.

Please contact Shopify support directly for assistance about the checkout functionality.

2. Page/section custom CSS code

For adding general custom CSS codes that will apply to all pages, please use the Shopify dedicated Theme Settings > Custom CSS area here: https://share.zight.com/mXuNmB1z.

You can also add specific CSS code to each page or section if you want to apply the code only to that part: https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zujYyem.

3. Edit default theme content

To change any theme default text please use the Shopify included option "Edit default theme content" - https://share.getcloudapp.com/ApuvJ9dz.

Please see here a link from Shopify documentation for more info about changing the wording in themes.

4. Display customer login link in header or sidebar

To display the customer account link in the header section, please enable customer accounts in your Shopify admin here: https://share.zight.com/Z4uEwL59.

5. Collection page filters

The filters functionality is standard from Shopify and added through their Shopify Search & Discovery app. This is not something related to the theme code but a platform standard functionality that works independent from the theme you are using.

Please see this link from Shopify documentation for more info about the included options for collection page filters.

6. Contextualisation

If you have different sections/blocks in your theme customiser settings than in your live site, this is most often due to Shopify's contextualisation feature which allows you to customize your theme for different markets. If you're using different Shopify Markets, please make sure that you are previewing the same market as the one you are customising.

For more information on this functionality, please refer to Shopify's documentation here:

https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/themes/customizing-themes/store-contextualization.

7. Currency format

The theme is displaying the currency format as set in the Shopify backend here in General > Store defaults > Currency display: https://share.zight.com/nOu4m8e4.

8. Revert changes in the theme original code

Shopify has this included option to see the theme original code in each file (except the ones from the assets folder): https://share.zight.com/d5uJPr0k.

For detailed info about how to revert code edits in a theme please see this link from Shopify documentation: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/themes/theme-structure/extend/edit-theme-code#roll-back.

9. How to transfer a theme to a new store

Each theme licence is tied with the Shopify account where it was originally purchased. All our themes licences are sold exclusively on Shopify Theme Store by Shopify and only they can handle any concerns in relation to theme licences.

In case you've closed that store and you now have a new account where you want to use the theme you've already purchased you would need to contact Shopify support directly and follow their instructions to be able to use the theme in the new account.

10. Refund or exchange a theme

Shopify allows each user to have an unlimited theme trial. However, once a theme licence is purchased, this purchase is final and the themes cannot be refunded or exchanged as per the Shopify Theme Store policies.
