Seventh > Cards > Promo card

The Promo card block is a flexible card that holds other blocks (heading, text, button, etc.) and can link the entire card. It’s ideal for highlighting promotions inside grids, product/collection lists or inside a dedicated section for various promotions.

What it does

This block displays a card with:

Custom inner blocks for content
Optional full-card link
Optional background image or video
Card layout and spacing controls
Optional placement control in list sections

Seventh includes several presets of the promo card to help you get started, but essentially, all of these are variations of the same component.

Block settings explained

Card Style

Text alignment

Aligns card content (left, center, right).

Inner blocks spacing

Controls spacing between inner blocks.

Padding

Sets the card’s padding (around the card)

Add padding to media

Adds padding around inner media (image or video) blocks. Doesn't refer to card background media.

Remove card background

Removes the card's background (color and gradient), removing also the padding around the card.

Border radius

Controls corner rounding (only for the main card, not the inner blocks).

Color scheme

Selects the card color scheme.

Card height

Sets a minimum height for the card, no matter how much content does the card hold.
This option doesn't work if the parent section has the vertical alignment set to stretch.

Card link

Link

Makes the entire card clickable, overwriting any links that are inside the card.

Only shown when a link is set.
Opens the card link in a new tab.

Background

Show media background

Enables background media for the card

Background image

Use an image as a background

Background video

Use a video as a background (autoplay, muted & looped).
Autoplaying doesn't work on mobile when the device is in low power mode.
Overrides the image when both are set.

Background overlay

Color overlay on top of the background media

Custom Placement

Custom placement is an option that cards have inside a few sections:

Collection grid
Collection list
Featured collection

Custom Placement

Inserts the promo card at a specific index in the list
0 means the card will be placed at the end of the grid
1 means the card will be placed the first item in the grid

Note: when the grid is paginated, the promo card will take pagination into account, so if you're showing 12 items per page and the promo card is set to appear as the 13th item, it will actually be the first item from your second page.
